It looks like a high amount of traffic may have crashed the funeral home’s website. I’ve screenshotted the obituary for anyone who’s unable to view it at the moment: https://t.co/9i5W3NkmfX pic.twitter.com/iTIsp10Ap7

Thank you for your friendship, Gian. Thank you for your warmth, support, playfulness, open-mindedness, ideas, energy, and excitement. Thank you for enjoying literature and drugs with me and for spending time with me. Thank you for publishing the books that you did. I’ll miss you. pic.twitter.com/OSLskGpS5G

Giancarlo DiTrapano, without hyperbole, changed my life. The world is a duller place without him. Rest in peace, my friend. pic.twitter.com/iUtloMLNiK

Giancarlo DiTrapano has died, and I’m bawling my eyes out. Tyrant Books, which he founded, came to shape my taste in literature at a time when I didn’t think that would happen and showed me that, yeah, there are contemporary voices that can go word-for-word with Hamsun etc.

heartbroken to hear ab Giancarlo DiTrapano, wearing my Tyrant shirt always feels like a power move, as seen here last week in Arizona pic.twitter.com/pGowWvMX4Z

there are a handful of presses whose work inspires me so much, who make me feel like maybe I have a voice after all, maybe I can help other voices who also don’t fit in, and New York Tyrant is one of them. my love to everyone who knew Giancarlo DiTrapano
